Restore House

This past month I've been working at the Restore House.  These kids are crazy.  We started last month with 10 and 4 of them ran away and 1 has come back so we currently are caring for 7 boys.  Everyday we come and spend time with the boys.  We have worship and a short bible lesson in the morning sometimes and in the afternoon the boys play together and with us.  These boys love to watch TV and they only get to watch it on the weekend so one day they watched 6 movies.  We have a teacher coming almost everyday to teach the boys english and get them ready to go to school one day.  These boys have a long road ahead of them and they are doing pretty good.  We are working on setting up a program for the boys so they are busy everyday and have less time to get into trouble.  Somedays they fly kites or we take them out for a couple hours to somewhere new.  One day I took them to an arcade and they loved it.  Please pray as we set up the house for these boys.  Working with these kids and starting a home for them is very new to most of us so we need your prayers so we can help these boys.

Kid's Club Drop-in Center

Since working with some new children in the past few month and finally getting a center we have finally opened it up for the children to come in.  We open the center up on Mondays for the children to come to.  They come and watch movies, color, play games, sleep, and just to escape the hot streets.  We also have a time for them to listen to bible stories and sings songs.  Things are going really well so far.  We are realizing that our center is actually quite small when we sqeeze 10-15 children in there so we are starting to look for something a little more spacey.  Please pray for us as we look for something that will better suite us.  Also we are praying now what to do next with the kids.  Possible opening a full-time home for them, starting  school for them, raising support to send them to a good school, starting a community for the kids and their families so please pray for us as we pray about what to do next with these kids.






Church

Just recently a friend and I decided we would start a church for some of the boys we have been working with.  One of the boys actually asked for a church.  So last Saturday we had our first service.  There is YWAM team here from California so we asked them if they could share a word to the boys.  So one guys shared his testimony.  We did some songs, testimony, and we asked if they wanted any prayer.  So we spent some time praying for the boys.  Things went really well.  We are hoping to do it every Saturday.  We really need Indians to come and help us translate and help us work with these boys so please pray that God brings the right people to us to commit to helping us.














Scrambled Eggs

Recently we have been having a selected number of children coming to our center everyday.  They come and we teach them english and bible stories.  We plan on moving these children into our second home when we get it.  On Saturday I went and cooked them breakfast.  There were about 8 kids in all and they come all around the same time.  I cooked them scrambled eggs and when I brought it out for them to eat they all looked at me weird.  One kid looked at the eggs then back at me and said, "What is this?"  I had to bring them forks and show them how to eat it.  I thought it was funny they never had scrambled eggs.  Later in the day we played games and watched a movie.  It was a fun day.
